Cheesepressers Win, McCleary 4-5
|
Toledo designated hitter Nate McCleary had a 3-RBI performance, which helped his team grab a 12-7 win over the Honolulu Waterspouts. Wilber York was the winner. Over 5.2 innings, he allowed 3 runs on 3 hits, with 5 walks and 5 strikeouts. With the win, the Cheesepressers improved to 90-72.
The Cheesepressers got a big at-bat from right fielder Josh Maynard. For the game, Maynard went 2-5 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 5th home run of the season gave Toledo a 6-3 lead.
