Idahosies Win 2-1 Walk-Off
|
The New Haven Tempest got a superb performance from pitcher Adam Anderson. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Boise. The Idahosies won the game, 2-1. In spite of the loss, Anderson was named the player of the game. He threw 7 innings of shutout ball. Boise reliever George Knickle picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Dan Killinger absorbed the loss. The Tempest, at 4-12, have stumbled out of the gate.
Boise won the game in the bottom of the 13th inning. With no outs and Dan Killinger on the mound for New Haven, center fielder Kiyomitsu Moriya hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Idahosies fans to their feet.
"This joint was rocking," said Moriya.
