Pat Rose left his imprint on the 11-8 Savannah win against the Honolulu Waterspouts. Rose, who is the 2025 Best Ballplayer Award winner, went 2-3 with 2 home runs and 3 walks. He scored 3 times and drove in 3. Savannah reliever Matt Bursley picked up the win to move to 2-0. Ryan Ball suffered the loss. Souma Yamamura locked down his 4th save.

The most important at-bat for Savannah came in the top of the ninth inning, when shortstop Brett Rogers stroked a first pitch fastball to left for a 3-run home run, putting Savannah up, 11-8.

"We got the victory," said Rogers. "That's all that matters at the end of the day."

The win brings the Pride to 11-6, a promising start as the team looks to return to the playoffs.
