Waterspouts Prevail, 5-3, Over Savannah
|
Honolulu rode a decent outing from starter Nazir Bruton to victory over the Savannah Wildcats at Coconuts Park. The final score was 5-3. Bruton picked up the win for Honolulu, going 7 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 3-1. Lorenzo Sierra finished the game for Honolulu and earned his 3rd save.
Nick Murphy, who is rated as the 48th best prospect by BNN, helped out the Honolulu cause in the bottom of the second inning with a 2-run home run. For the game, the center fielder went 1 for 3 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"I tried to mix it up, keep them off balance," said Bruton.
The Waterspouts, now 15-2, have stormed out of the gates.
