Waterspouts Fall to .500 After Loss to Mighty Cocks
|
The Little Rock Mighty Cocks picked up a win at Durex Field, knocking off the Honolulu Waterspouts, 5-2. Starting pitcher Tom Fisher, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Jason Taylor closed the game out for Little Rock, earning his 5th save. Little Rock, now 13-7, has played well in the early going.
Curt Haider aided the Little Rock cause with a 2-run single in the bottom of the second. For the game, the center fielder went 2-3 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs.
Haider attributed the win to "a well-rounded effort by the whole team."
