Hullabaloo Win at Knoxville, 3-1
|
The Hullabaloo had to overcome a good performance from Knoxville pitcher Bobby Meyers to claim a 3-1 win at Smith and Wesson Field. Meyers went 6 innings and allowed 1 earned run. Jimmy Cady nailed down his 2nd save. Even with the win, it has been a disastrous start to the year for the Hullabaloo, who once had aspirations of returning to the playoffs but now find themselves mired in third place at 7-13.
The Hullabaloo got a lift from catcher Jose Torres who had a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the second inning off Bobby Meyers. It was his 7th RBI of the season and put Kalamazoo in front, 1-0.
"Can't say enough about our pitching," said Torres.
