Cheesepressers Lose Despite Ware's Valiant Effort
Despite a fine performance by left fielder Bobby Ware, the Toledo Cheesepressers suffered a 9-6 loss to the Tucson Fighting Beetles. Ware hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3. Losses have been few and far between for the Cheesepressers so far this season. Their record drops to 16-5.

The most important at-bat for Tucson came in the top of the ninth inning, when shortstop Sam Hensley stroked a 0-1 cutter to left for a run-scoring double, putting Tucson up, 5-4.

"We came out aggressive," said Fighting Beetles manager Mike Veverka. "We came out swinging the bats."
