Cheesepressers Roll Over Warlocks, 9-3

The Toledo Cheesepressers beat the Wichita Warlocks, 9-3, at Propel Fitness Water Field. Toledo second baseman Russ Cleaver earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He was 3 for 3 with 3 singles, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 3 runs. Brad Ruggerio, who went 5.1 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 2 runs on 7 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 5. His record now stands at 2-1. The Cheesepressers keep rolling, raising their record to 18-6.
Steve Gambino, who is tied for 9th in the UL in stolen bases with 6, aided the Toledo cause with a 2-run single in the top of the seventh. For the game, the left fielder went 2 for 4 with 2 singles and a walk. He drove in 3 runs.
"It feels good to get this one," Cleaver told the Toledo Gazette.
