Idahosies Get Road Win, 4-2
|
Boise right fielder Mike Flood had a 3-RBI game, which helped his team beat the Honolulu Waterspouts, 4-2. Ed Watkins got credit for the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 3 innings. The Idahosies, now 2-1, have been on a roll in the early going.
Flood had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a 2-1 fastball from Alejandro Santos, he banged a 2-run home run to left-center, giving the Idahosies a 4-2 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Flood.
"We made a couple of mistakes," said Honolulu skipper Claribette Del Rosario, "and it cost us."
