Waterspouts Get Road Win, 6-2
|
Honolulu rode a fine outing from starter Nazir Bruton to victory over the Lincoln Black Aces at Sam's Club Memorial Field. The final score was 6-2. Bruton picked up the win for Honolulu, going 7.2 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 3-1. The Black Aces fall to 12-15 and continue their uneasy start to the 2016 season.
The Waterspouts got a big at-bat from second baseman Eric Kavanaugh. For the game, Kavanaugh was 2 for 2 with 2 singles. In the top of the fourth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 23rd hit of the season gave Honolulu a 3-2 lead.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Kavanaugh.
