Extra-Inning Win by Hullabaloo over Pharaohs
|
Crowds lined up early in front of Tractor Supply Company Park, eagerly awaiting the start of the 2025 Federal Baseball League season. On the mound was Phil Ross for the visiting Kalamazoo Hullabaloo and Jason Wheeler for the hometown Des Moines Pharaohs. In a spirited contest, the Hullabaloo pulled out the win, defeating the Pharaohs by the score of 5-4. Earning player of the game honors was Nehemiah Brown.
The Hullabaloo beat the Pharaohs in part due to timely hitting. Case in point: the two-out single Ian Harris produced in the top of the tenth. Batting against Des Moines pitcher Tom Caldwell, Harris gave his team a 5-4 lead when he hit a run-scoring single.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Harris said.
