Warlocks Get Road Win, 2-1
|
The Warlocks grabbed a win, 2-1, at The Zoo, overcoming a fine effort from Kalamazoo pitcher Steve Wood. Wood went 9 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. Jeremy Newcombe got credit for the save for Wichita. It was his 5th of the year. The Hullabaloo drop to 11-15 and continue their inconsistent start to the 2026 season.
A crucial at-bat came with a runner on 3rd and two out in the top of the sixth inning. That's when center fielder Joe Commander, who is tied for 4th in the UL in hits with 34, got hit by a pitch. The Warlocks went on to win.
"We played a good game and came out on top," said Commander.
