Tempest Rally For Late Win Over Pride
The New Haven Tempest picked up a win at Flagship Field, knocking off the Savannah Pride, 2-1. Starting pitcher Mike Benjamin was an essential part of his team's success. New Haven reliever Mike Perry picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Matt Bursley took the loss. The Pride, now 14-13, continue their sluggish start.

Marcus Butts was the walk-off hero for New Haven. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Tempest second baseman hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.

"Getting ahead of the hitters was the key," said Benjamin.
