Thrilling Victory Pushes Cheesepressers Win Streak to 5
The Toledo Cheesepressers got a superb performance from pitcher Travis Storm, who shut out the Corpus Christi Kingfishers, 1-0. In 7.2 innings, Storm surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 2. He allowed no runs. Alvin Biter was credited with the save for Toledo, his 7th of the season.

Both teams had trouble scoring runs. So, Bob Hauser's at-bat in the top of the eighth was crucial. With one out, the Toledo catcher hit a solo home run, to give his team a 1-0 lead.

"Runs were at a premium," said Toledo manager Matt Perrone.

With the win, Toledo pushes its record to 16-12.
