Waterspouts Win in Extras
|
Jared McLaughlin made an impact in the 6-4 Honolulu win over Reno. McLaughlin hit 2 home runs. Honolulu reliever Ryan Ball picked up the win, upping his record to 3-1. Will Williams was saddled with the loss. The Waterspouts keep rolling, raising their record to 20-9.
The Waterspouts got a big at-bat from shortstop Malik Anderson. For the game, Anderson was 1 for 3 with 2 walks. In the top of the 19th, with the bases loaded, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 16th hit of the season gave Honolulu a 5-4 lead.
"We're in a marathon, not a sprint," said Anderson. "But I like how we're playing right now."
