Knights Fall Short, 4-3, at New Haven
New Haven beat Havana at Flagship Field, eking out a 4-3 win. The win was due in large part to pitcher Dave Berke, who earned player of the game honors. Berke, the winner, moves to 3-1. He threw 6 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up 2 walks. Jason Balentine nailed down his 4th save.

Ben Dimitri did his part for the Tempest, producing a 2-run home run in the bottom of the fourth inning. For the game, the shortstop went 1 for 3 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"The effort we put into this one paid off," Berke said.

With the win, New Haven elevates its record to 17-12.
