Tempest Bang Out 7-5 Win Versus Havana
The New Haven Tempest beat the Havana Knights, 7-5, at Flagship Field. Marcus Butts was recognized as player of the game for his performance. He was 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The seven-time All-Star was a menace to Havana all day. The winner was New Haven reliever Mike Kemp, now 1-0. The loser was Gabriel Aybar. Mike Perry closed the game out for New Haven, earning his 2nd save.

Butts had a big at-bat with runners on 1st and 2nd in the bottom of the first inning, when he hit a 3-run home run. The Tempest went on to win.

Butts told a New Haven Citizen reporter that he was "pleased as punch" with the win.

The Knights, now 14-14, continue their slow start.
