Platoon Throttle Hullabaloo, 5-1

Saskatoon played host to Kalamazoo at the friendly confines of Labatt Blue Field.
The Saskatoon Platoon relied on the hitting of shortstop Ezequiel Santovenia to stop the Kalamazoo Hullabaloo, 5-1. For the game, Santovenia was 2-2 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Juan Martinez picked up the win with 7 innings of work. He allowed 1 earned run on 5 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 5. On the season, he is now 6-11. Tommy Slattery picked up the save, his 3rd.
Santovenia had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a 0-1 slider from Steve Wood, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Platoon a 3-1 lead. It was the 3rd home run of the year for Santovenia.
"It was a solid team effort," said Santovenia after the game.
Their 62-81 record puts the Platoon last in the United League West Division.
