The Toledo Cheesepressers faced a tough opponent in Corpus Christi pitcher Arturo Lopez, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Velveeta Field by a final score of 4-3. Lopez went 8.2 innings and allowed 3 earned runs. The Kingfishers, now 6-24, continue their poor start.

Toledo took a 4-3 lead on Mike Jackson's 10th hit of the season. The run-scoring single, which Jackson hit in the bottom of the tenth, left Corpus Christi pitcher Justin Cairo visibly frustrated.

"Enjoyed this one," Jackson told the Toledo Daily News. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
