The Honolulu Waterspouts and Reno Graybirds played a tight game at Coconuts Park, with the hosts claiming the hard-fought win.
The Honolulu Waterspouts picked up a win at Coconuts Park, knocking off the Reno Graybirds, 3-1. Starting pitcher Andy Rodriguez, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Earning his 2nd save for Honolulu was John Barnhill.
In the bottom of the first, Jared McLaughlin hit a 2-run double for Honolulu. The 2nd double of the season for the Honolulu right fielder put the Waterspouts on top, 2-0.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," McLaughlin told the Honolulu Observer.
Honolulu has a record of 12-18.
