Tempest Get 7-3 Win Versus Havana
|
New Haven starter Wally Woolsey had a strong outing against the Havana Knights at Flagship Field. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 7-3 win. Victor Lomas earned the save for New Haven, his 5th of the year. With the win, New Haven pushes its record to 18-12.
Ben Dimitri contributed to the New Haven win. The 27-year old shortstop stroked a 2-run double in the bottom of the first. For the game, Dimitri went 1 for 3 with a double and a walk. He drove in 2 runs.
"We took advantage of our opportunities," Woolsey told the New Haven Times. "It's as simple as that."
