Running Rebels Come Up Short at Honolulu
The Honolulu Waterspouts beat the Knoxville Running Rebels, 2-1 at Coconuts Park, in part due to designated hitter Jared McLaughlin, who nabbed player of the game honors. He was 3 for 3 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. Israel Garcia picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 4-2. Justin Stover was tagged with the loss. Aaron Stout picked up the save, his 1st.

Brendan Hight aided the Honolulu cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the second baseman went 1 for 3.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," McLaughlin said.

The Running Rebels drop to 15-16 and continue their inconsistent start to the 2026 season.
