Fans of the Honolulu Waterspouts who packed the stands for the home opener were rewarded with a Honolulu win over the visiting Boise Idahosies, 2-1. Andy Rodriguez started for the home team against Rodger Moores. Andy Rodriguez earned the coveted player of the game honors. Ryan Ball sewed up the save, his 1st.

Honolulu took a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning. With one out, left fielder Mike Lynn hit a solo home run that set the crowd abuzz.

"For the most part, I made good pitches when I needed to," said Rodriguez.
