Marshall Pazar never let Corpus Christi get something going. The Toledo right-hander commanded his splitter in pitching the Cheesepressers to a 4-1 win. Alvin Biter locked down his 1st save. With the win, Toledo improves its record to 2-2.
Rich LaBelle delivered a big hit for the Cheesepressers. The veteran first baseman belted a 2-run home run in the bottom of the fourth. The longball put Toledo on top, 4-1. Overall, LaBelle went 2-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2.
"Baseball is about momentum," said Pazar, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
