5-for-5 Day for Anderson
It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 5-for-5 day. For many, it might come around only once in a career -- and for Dennis Anderson, it came around today.

The 27-year-old shortstop scattered hits all over Coconuts Park to pace the Honolulu Waterspouts to a 11-4 victory over the Bangor Devil Bears.

Bangor skipper John Muir told reporters in the press room that "Anderson deserves a hat-tip."

"He hit some good pitches against us," he said. "In fact, according to our scouting reports, Anderson hit several that he is not supposed to be able to hit."

Dennis Anderson hit a three-run home run off Cody Maupin in the 1st, hit a two-run double in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th.

For the year Anderson is batting .316 with 43 hits and 5 home runs. He has scored 24 times and driven in 29.
