Idahosies Prove Rude Guests, Win 6-4 at New Haven
|
The Idahosies had to overcome a good performance from New Haven pitcher Ben Ramey to claim a 6-4 win at Hartford Courant Center. Ramey went 6 innings and allowed 4 earned runs. Jay Kelley closed it out for his 4th save. At 9-27, the Idahosies find themselves in last place in the United League West Division.
Jahlil Coleman, who is rated as the 83rd best prospect by BNN, aided the Boise cause with a 2-run single in the top of the seventh. For the game, the second baseman went 1-4 with a walk, while adding 2 RBI.
"I'm proud of the boys for pulling through," said Idahosies manager Matt Conklin. "The wins don't come easy for this team, but everyone's got an extra jump in their step after a game like this."
