The Saskatoon Platoon defeated the Honolulu Waterspouts, 8-6. Earning player of the game honors was shortstop Dennis Anderson, who belted 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Reliever Matt Burrell picked up the win. His record improves to 2-4. Wally Borman took the loss. Ryan Elliott earned the save for Saskatoon, his 8th of the year.

Had Andrew Orr not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 3rd, Orr hit a 3-run home run. That made the score 8-6, in favor of the Platoon.

"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Orr.
