Waterspouts Lose to Cheesepressers, 12-5
|
John Roberts left his imprint on the 12-5 Toledo win against the Honolulu Waterspouts. Roberts, who leads the UL in RBI with 40, was 1-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4. The Cheesepressers have a robust 10½-game lead in the United League East Division.
Early in the game, Roberts had a grand slam home run for Toledo. It was his 11th home run of the season and put the Cheesepressers on top, 5-1.
"That's a solid team effort right there," said Roberts. "Everyone's feeling pretty positive after that win."
