Idahosies Get One-Run Win at New Haven
|
Zhong-qi Huang had a good game, but he could not keep the New Haven Tempest from falling, 6-5, to the Boise Idahosies at Hartford Courant Center. The New Haven first baseman went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once in the loss. Jay Kelley earned the save for Boise, his 5th of the year. The Idahosies raised their record to 10-28.
Boise took a 6-3 lead on Dave Klinger's 4th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Klinger hit in the top of the seventh, left New Haven pitcher Edgar Zavala shaking his head.
"It wasn't our best performance," said Klinger, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."
