McLaughlin Slugs Waterspouts to 7-3 Win
|
The Honolulu Waterspouts dealt the Little Rock Mighty Cocks a 7-3 loss at Coconuts Park. Jared McLaughlin was the star on offense. He slugged 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. Andy Rodriguez got the win, improving to 6-0. He worked 6 innings, giving up 1 run on 5 hits, while striking out 11 and walking 1. The Waterspouts have an impressive 27-13 record.
McLaughlin had a big at-bat with runners on 1st and 2nd in the bottom of the eighth inning, when he hit a 3-run home run. The Waterspouts went on to win.
"Enjoyed this one," McLaughlin told the Honolulu Citizen. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
