Fighting Beetles Bang Out 7-5 Win Versus Honolulu
|
A 4-RBI performance from third baseman John Frost led the Tucson Fighting Beetles to a 7-5 win over the Honolulu Waterspouts. The win was Bobby Valle's in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Nate Dorn took the loss for Honolulu. Tucson is now 19-24. Honolulu is 23-20.
It could have been a different outcome for Tucson, had it not been for Isaiah Oliver, the 26-year old left fielder . Oliver contributed a run-scoring ground out in the bottom of the first inning to put Tucson up, 2-1.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Oliver. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
