Kingfishers Drop Another One
Travis Storm never let the Kingfishers get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his splitter, to pitch the Cheesepressers to a 4-1 win. Jason Hoose recorded his 3rd save for Toledo. Toledo, now 4-1, has played well in the early going.

Had Xavier Gomez not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Gomez hit a run-scoring double. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Cheesepressers.

"I had pretty much everything working," said Storm.
