Reno starter Josh Halverson had a strong outing against the Honolulu Waterspouts at Coconuts Park. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 4-1 win. Ryan Willey got credit for the win, improving to 3-0. He allowed no runs on no hits in 0.1 innings. The Graybirds now have a record of 20-22.

Matt Thompson made it 4-1 in favor of Reno when he delivered a 3-run home run. It came with two out in the top of the ninth. The Graybirds went on to win.

Thompson told a Reno News reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
