Cheesepressers Reel Off Another Win
|
The Toledo Cheesepressers extended their winning streak at Haggar Pants Park.
Rich LaBelle was instrumental in his team's 7-5 triumph over the Savannah Pride. The first baseman went 2-3 with a home run and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3 for the Toledo Cheesepressers. Marshall Pazar earned the win to go to 4-2. He allowed 3 earned runs on 6 hits, with 3 walks and 2 strikeouts.
In the top of the third, John Roberts hit a grand slam home run for Toledo. The 15th home run of the season for the Toledo designated hitter put the Cheesepressers on top, 4-3.
"Hitting, winning. It's just contagious," said Roberts.
The winning continues for Toledo, with the latest making it 8 straight.
