Pharaohs Subdue Honolulu, 4-2
|
It was a fun time at Tractor Supply Company Park, where the Honolulu Waterspouts and Des Moines Pharaohs tangled.
Des Moines pitcher Humberto Villanueva did his part in helping his team beat the Honolulu Waterspouts, 4-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The save was credited to Tom Caldwell, his 8th.
Mike Urquidi, who is the 6th-best prospect in the Pharaohs organization, aided the Des Moines cause with a 2-run double in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the left fielder went 2 for 4 with a triple and a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"Humberto is still learning," said Pharaohs manager John Hann. "The sky's the limit for him."
At 23-22, the Pharaohs are currently second in the United League Central Division.
