Tempest Get Road Win, 6-2
|
The New Haven Tempest bested the Bangor Devil Bears by a score of 6-2, with center fielder Nick Morris getting the main credit. On the day, Morris was 3-5 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Tempest. The Tempest, now 5-0, have been on a roll in the early going.
Morris had a game-changing home run in the top of the sixth. On a 0-2 curveball from Joe Hoffman, he banged a 2-run home run to right, giving the Tempest a 3-2 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Morris.
"This team is real focused right now," said New Haven manager Brandon Eberle.
