6 Straight Wins for Platoon
The exploits of designated hitter Garrett Cranford, who is tied for 3rd in the UL in extra base hits with 25, helped the Saskatoon Platoon defeat the Honolulu Waterspouts, 3-2. Cranford went 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The winner was Adrian Krantz, who threw 81 pitches over 5.2 innings. The right-hander was charged with 1 run on 7 hits. Honolulu has now lost 5 straight.

Cranford had a game-changing home run in the top of the sixth. On a first pitch sinker from Joel Taute, he banged a 2-run home run to right, giving the Platoon a 2-1 lead. It was the 18th home run of the year for Cranford.

"I like our moxie," said Platoon manager Matt Germano.
