Honolulu catcher Colin Allen played a vital role in his team's 10-9 triumph over Des Moines. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once for Honolulu. The winner was John Barnhill in relief. His record improves to 4-3. Jerry Stewart took the loss. Honolulu currently is in third place in the United League West Division at 19-28.

Honolulu won the game in the bottom of the 11th inning. With no outs and Jerry Stewart on the mound for Des Moines, catcher Chris Kriske hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Waterspouts fans to their feet.
