New Haven Tempest starter Steve Rhodes was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Knoxville Running Rebels, 6-1. Rhodes, the winner, moves to 6-2. Joe Midkiff was a key contributor to the win for the Tempest. In the bottom of the fourth with two out, the light-hitting left fielder stroked a single to left. He was 1 for 4 with a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Midkiff told the New Haven Chronicle.
