Tempest Pin 4-2 Loss on Kingfishers

The New Haven Tempest got a strong performance from pitcher John Quinn, who stymied the Corpus Christi offense en route to a 4-2 win at Fallow Field. Quinn, now 7-1, was the winner. In 7.2 innings, he gave up 8 hits, while striking out 13, walking 1, and allowing 2 earned runs. The save went to Mike Perry, his 5th this season.
Early in the game, left fielder Jose Rodriguez had a run-scoring double for New Haven. It was his 2nd double of the season and put the Tempest on top, 1-0.
"A great team win and something real positive we can build on," said Quinn after the game.
The Tempest now have a mark of 22-27.
