Cheesepressers Lose to Knights, 5-3
|
Havana pitcher George Adams did his part in helping his team beat the Toledo Cheesepressers, 5-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Adams got the win, improving to 4-5. He allowed 5 hits and walked 2 over 7 innings. Adams allowed 1 earned run. The save went to Danny Garcia, his 3rd this season.
The Knights beat the Cheesepressers in part due to timely hitting. Case in point: the two-out double A.J. Arbogast produced in the bottom of the sixth. Batting against Toledo pitcher Travis Storm, Arbogast gave his team a 4-2 lead when he hit a 2-run double.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said Havana manager Keith Curry.
Havana has now won 7 in a row.
