The Toledo Cheesepressers got a superb performance from center fielder Tatsumi Irie, but the Havana Knights still won the game, 14-6. Irie was named the player of the game despite the loss. He went 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Havana starter Joe Hollister was credited with the win after throwing 89 pitches over 6 innings. His record now stands at 4-1. The second-place Knights are now 23-25, the Cheesepressers 39-11.

It could have been a different outcome for Havana, had it not been for Dan Bowie, the 23-year old shortstop . Bowie contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put Havana up, 3-2.

"I felt good up there," said Bowie. "I saw the ball well."
