Cheesepressers Get Win, Extend Streak to 4
The Toledo Cheesepressers and Corpus Christi Kingfishers completed their game despite the inclement weather.

Toledo shortstop Xavier Gomez was instrumental in his team's 7-2 win over the Corpus Christi Kingfishers. Gomez, who was drafted in the three round of the 2021 draft, went 3-4 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Cheesepressers. Toledo goes to 4-2 with the win.

In the bottom of the third, Iemochi Hoshino hit a 3-run home run for Toledo. The 2nd home run of the season for the Toledo second baseman put the Cheesepressers on top, 4-2.

"When this team comes together and plays the way we can, we can compete with anyone," said Gomez. "I think we're going to keep proving that."
