Cheesepressers Come Back Late, Nip Knights
Fans at Velveeta Field were not deterred by the threat of rain. They came to see their hometown Toledo Cheesepressers take on the Havana Knights.

Behind a solid performance from shortstop Xavier Gomez, the Toledo Cheesepressers defeated the Havana Knights, 7-6. Gomez went 2-4 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Cheesepressers. Alonzo Galindo picked up the save, his 3rd.

Toledo took control in the bottom of the eighth. With no one out and the bases loaded, Iemochi Hoshino hit a run-scoring single to make it 5-4, Cheesepressers.

"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Hoshino.

The Cheesepressers saw their win-loss record go to 40-11. At the same time, the Knights fell to 23-26.
