Kingfishers Fall to .500 After Loss to Cheesepressers
|
The Toledo Cheesepressers stopped the Corpus Christi Kingfishers, 9-4, at Velveeta Field. The Cheesepressers got a big game from Paul Strom, who was 2 for 5 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 5. Toledo reliever Kyle Castillo picked up the win to move to 2-1. Chris McIntosh suffered the loss. The current losing streak for Corpus Christi has reached 5 games.
Strom had a big at-bat with runners on 1st and 2nd in the bottom of the second inning, when he hit a 3-run home run. The Cheesepressers went on to win.
"I felt good up there," said Strom. "I saw the ball well."
