Waterspouts Knock Off Fighting Beetles at Coconuts Park
|
The Honolulu Waterspouts downed the Tucson Fighting Beetles, 6-4, at Coconuts Park. Erik Carnes led the way, going 3-for-4 for Honolulu. Ryan Ball was called on to finish, recording his 11th save. The losing streak for Tucson has now reached 4 games.
Carnes had a big at-bat with the bases loaded in the bottom of the second inning, when he hit a 2-run single. The Waterspouts went on to win.
"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Honolulu manager Claribette Del Rosario.
