Idahosies Pick Up 6-2 Win
|
The Boise Idahosies racked up a win at The Zoo, bumping off the Kalamazoo Hullabaloo, 6-2. Arturo Gonzalez, who started for Boise, pitched effectively for his team. Gonzalez went 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 3, and struck out 3. His record improves to 7-5. At 28-26, the Idahosies find themselves in second place in the United League West Division.
Colin Murray drove in one run for Boise. The 27-year old first baseman had a key at-bat in the top of the sixth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Phil Ross. It was his 22nd RBI of the season.
"We took advantage of our opportunities," Murray told the Boise Today. "It's as simple as that."
