Waterspouts Get Road Win, 7-4
|
The Honolulu Waterspouts downed the New Haven Tempest, 7-4, at Hartford Courant Center. The Waterspouts were led by Bubba Miller, who captured player of the game honors. He went 3-5 with 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Earl Harrow picked up the win with 5 innings of work. He allowed 4 earned runs on 8 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 7. On the season, he is now 2-0. Lorenzo Sierra earned the save for Honolulu, his 16th.
Steve Casselman aided the Honolulu cause with a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth. For the game, the second baseman was 1-5 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"Slowly but surely, the wins are piling up," said Miller.
The Waterspouts have now won 4 straight.
