The New Haven Tempest stymied the Anchorage Ice Sox, 6-2, at Cabela's Park. Brian Richardson, who had a good day at the plate, was named player of the game. He was 2-3 with a home run and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for New Haven. New Haven has now won 3 straight, while the Ice Sox have lost 3 in a row.

In the top of the 6th, shortstop Ben Dimitri gave New Haven the lead when he hit a 2-run single. The Tempest had been trailing 2-1, but the two-out single off Anchorage pitcher Keith Spencer changed that -- and New Haven went on to win.

"I really like what we did out there today," Dimitri said after the game.
