Behind a solid performance from catcher Brian Richardson, the New Haven Tempest defeated the Anchorage Ice Sox, 9-1. Richardson went 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4 for the Tempest. Will Engle nailed down his 1st save. The first-place Tempest have won 4 consecutive games.

Marcus Butts helped his team jump on top from the get-go. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a run-scoring double to give New Haven a 1-0 lead.
